Every session includes

The work that actually moves the needle.

Every package — whether you do one session or eight — gets the same complete approach.

🧠

Movement Assessment

Session one always starts with a movement screen. Where are you tight? Where are you weak? Where are you compensating? The program gets built from that, not from a template.

📋

Custom Programming

Your program is written for you. Functional strength, mobility work, metabolic conditioning — balanced for where you are and where you're going. Adjusted every session based on what you actually did.

🥩

Nutrition Guidance

Real food, not a macro calculator. We talk about what you're eating, why it's working or not, and how to fuel for how you train. Grounded in metabolic principles, not trends.

🔄

Accountability Check-ins

Between sessions, you have access to Paul for questions. If something hurts, if you're confused about the program, if life got in the way — you get a real response, not a chatbot.

🌲

Lifestyle Integration

Sleep, stress, daily movement patterns — they all affect how you train and recover. Sessions fold in lifestyle work because the gym is the smallest part of your week.

📈

Progress Tracking

You'll know exactly how you're improving. Strength benchmarks, mobility checkpoints, energy levels, body composition. Data-backed, not vibes-based.

Virtual Training

Same session structure, same programming rigor — conducted over video call. If you're outside Janesville, traveling, or just prefer to train from home, virtual works well for a lot of what Paul does.

Movement assessment translates well to camera. Paul can see your patterns, coach your form, and build your program just as effectively remotely as in-person. The only thing that doesn't travel is the physical spot.

Who this is for

This isn't for everyone.
It is for some people.

Paul works with a small number of clients at a time. Here's how to know if this is the right fit.

You've tried the standard playbook

Gym membership, YouTube workouts, maybe a group class or two. It worked for a while, then stopped. You're not looking for more motivation — you're looking for a system that actually fixes the problem.

You're dealing with a metabolism issue

Energy crashes, weight that won't move despite effort, recovery that takes longer than it should. These aren't willpower problems. They're metabolic problems. That's what we train.

You want to train for real life

Carrying groceries, keeping up with your kids, moving without pain into your 50s and 60s. Not aesthetics for their own sake — function as the goal. Strength that translates.

You need someone to be accountable to

Not a cheerleader. Not a hype machine. Someone who'll call it when you're coasting and adjust the program when life gets complicated. One trainer, one plan, real feedback.

This probably isn't for you if…

You're training for a competition or aesthetic-only goals with a strict deadline. You want a high-volume group environment. You're looking for the cheapest option or a quick fix. Paul's approach is system-level and long-term — if you need a 6-week transformation program, this isn't it.

Common questions

The objections, answered.

A gym membership costs you $40/month to use equipment you're not sure how to use correctly. 1:1 training with Paul costs more because it's not the same thing. You're not buying access to a room — you're buying a designed system with someone accountable for your progress. Most people who've tried gyms on their own and stalled get more from 4 sessions with a clear program than from 12 months of unsupervised gym time. The cost question is really: what's your time worth, and how much longer do you want to stay stuck?
Two sessions per week is the sweet spot for most people — enough stimulus to drive adaptation, enough recovery to actually adapt. One session per week still produces results, especially if you're consistent with the between-session home program. The intake form during booking will ask about your schedule, and Paul will build the program around what's actually realistic for you. Showing up consistently twice a week beats sporadic sessions three or four times over.
Most personal trainers give you workouts. That's not the same as designing a system. If your previous trainer never assessed your movement patterns, never addressed your nutrition, never talked about sleep or recovery, and never adjusted based on what the data showed — you had a workout partner, not a trainer. Paul's approach is root-cause: what is metabolically or structurally wrong, and how do we fix it? If you've tried trainers before and stalled, it's worth a 45-minute free conversation to find out whether this is a different kind of work.
Usually yes, and often the injury is the reason to start. Old injuries that haven't fully healed are frequently the result of compensating movement patterns that built up around the original problem. The movement assessment is designed to find exactly this: where you're guarding, where you're substituting, where the body adapted in ways that now limit you. Paul's training includes rehabilitation-oriented work specifically because most people who need a body tune-up have a history that needs to be built around, not ignored.
No contracts. You buy a session or a package and use it on your schedule. Paul works with clients who want to be there — not people locked into something they regret. If you buy a 4-pack and decide it's not for you after session two, sessions don't expire and you can pause. The only thing we ask is some communication — don't ghost, don't cancel day-of without a reason. That's it.

45 minutes, no cost, no obligation. If it's a fit, great. If not, Paul will tell you that too.
